“The overly creative mind has a particularly nasty habit of subconscious self-sabotage. Doubt Riding Shotgun helps untether the helpful from the detrimental, and the useful from the frivolous. Dave's writing style helps guide the reader to find their own supportive voice.” Greg Hoy, musician, artist, and entrepreneur

“Dave Hill Jr. has penned a book that is simultaneously deep and entertaining. He examines doubt from all angles, empowering the reader to take control of their self-actualization. Highly recommended!” TW Walsh, Songwriter, Musician, Mastering Engineer.
“This book was a real breath of fresh air for me. Positioning doubt in this simple and conversational way, and providing so many ways to exercise muscles around the conversation we have with doubt. I have a habit of dog-earing the bottom of pages that I want to come back to, and I feel like I marked every page in this book.” Bradford Swanson, Music Technology Executive
Goodbye, Doubt! Great book! Dave dives deep into the metaphor of Doubt as a passenger in your car. He touches on world-class doubters like legendary music producer Daniel Lanois and gets creative with ways to name and disable your doubt. If you ever doubted yourself, your skills, capabilities or anything else, this fantastic book will help you move forward with clarity and confidence. Very highly recommended. Jeff Leisawitz, Author, Coach, Keynote Speaker
A wealth of inspiration! How can you learn to recognize and overcome the central, universal, human hindrance? Dave Hill Jr. has tackled this difficult and tremendously important task with extraordinary skill, humility, and dedication. The result is this wonderfully well-written guide through relatable personal stories and carefully honed techniques, all gathered into a vast and diverse pool of wisdom. If doubt regularly rises as the antagonist in your life and you'd like to transform it into a helpful sidekick, this book contains a wealth of inspiration for you. Matt Moldolver, Artist, Technologist & Instrument Designer
Working With Self-Doubt
I wrote this book in order to help others work more harmoniously with their negative passenger. Writing this book also helped me move past my own self-doubt that I’d write a book, become a songwriter, and many other self-imposed limits.
The idea is that Doubt never goes away entirely, and that's okay.
What’s important is how we come to know and work with our unique Doubt passenger so that we can trust our intuition, go beyond fear, and create the life we want.
My mission in writing this book is that Doubt can be heard, but doesn't get to have the final say.
